I really am repulsed by the smell of this. It makes me gag. I got friends to smell it, and they all agreed with me. I used it a couple of times, and I didn't like how it felt on me. Greasy and gross. I really felt yucky after putting it on. I did get it on clearance though, so maybe it wasn't a popular product.

I received this in a swap and honestly didn't expect to like it as much I do. My initial reaction upon first opening the tub and taking a whiff wasn't favorable but I quickly changed my mind when I slathered it on after my shower. The smell is an incredibly lovely, warm, comforting scent that envelopes you in a cocoon of coziness. It reminds me of hot roasted nuts and toasted sesame seeds...yummy! Of all the TBS body butters I've tried, this one stands out for it's incredible smell and superior moisturizing properties. There is a lovely pearlescent quality to this butter that leaves skin soft, smooth, radiant, glowing and with an oh-so subtle shimmer. Very sexy. I am so in love with this butter and am devastated to hear that it has been discontinued (curse you, TBS!). Sigh. If I ever manage to find it, I'm definitely stocking up.

I bought this on sale (clearance?) after Christmas, and I wish I had stocked up! The scent is wonderful, goes well with any fragrance you want to layer on top of it. It moisturizes well (it is a bit greasy, but what body butters aren't) and gives skin a sheen.

This was THE body moisturiser for me, until they discontinued it! Luckily I bought 2 tubs when they were on sale and have been saving the 2nd for ages. It moisturises well, smells great, and most importantly, soy protein is the main ingredient used in lotions to slow down hair growth. I hardly ever had to shave my legs when I used this, and what growth there was was really fine. The Body Shop didn't seem to know or capitalize on this, as the line was discontinued before the boom of all those lotions (jergens etc) to slow down hair growth. Too bad! For the person who said they brought it back for Xmas 2005 and was able to buy 6 tubs, I envy you! I wish the same thing had happened at the Manila Body Shops, but no luck!

I got this on sale last Christmas for $9... I felt like it smelled kind of bad and weird after I put it on but couldn't place it. At first it smelled decent so thats why I bought it. I really liked the texture, so I tried it again recently and was overwhelmed by a horrible smell.. that smell I remembered. SO I had my friend smell it out of the container and she thought it smelled fine but I started to rub it in my skin and it was making the smell again and I told her to smell it cause it smelled so bad and she said EWWW... yah it smells fishy. FISHY! That is the grossest thing ever. I dont think it went bad either cause it smelled kind of like that at purchase. I dont know... just gross... yuck blah.

I got this as a sample at my Body Shop store...and I loved it! It was moisturizing and left my skin so soft! I love the smell too! I usually use the bliss body butter, but this is a much better price.

The nut body butter used to be my favourite body butter, but no longer! I LOVE the soy body butter... and have been meaning to buy another tub for the upcoming winter, but guess what? I found out it's discontinued! What the heck?! The tub I had lasted me months and months... and then afterward I bought different body butter scents to try (blueberry, papaya, grapeseed) but now I want the soy one again! I just searched eBay and found ONE auction, gah *crosses fingers* I say we petition TBS to bring this body butter back. Oh, did I mention that this is really moisturising and the scent is calming and gentle... *dreamy sigh* I wonder if any company makes a perfume with a similar scent as the soy body butter... EDIT Dec 2005: they brought this back for LE holiday season - I bought SIX tubs post-Xmas to stock up, who knows when I'll see this again?!

WOW!!! Ok this has the be the BEST moisturizer i have EVER used. I no i've said that before on reviews but this tops all of them. I do not like the smell at all its like a gross floral or something. The main ingrediant is soybean oil, and now i'm addicted to soybean oil. I can not tell u how well this works. Something that really bugs me is why do companies discontinue products if they know they are popular and selling. From the reviews on here and how fast i've seen them sold out in the store when they do bring this product back, and from what the people at TBS say, there is no way they discontinued this because no one was buying it. so why????? its not fair, u can purchase it sometimes on their website though. If u can get ahold of some of this, PLEASE try it, u will love it.

I don't know about this one. I liked it a lot at first, but after less than a year, it seems like it has "turned" in the container. When I sniff it straight, it smells exactly like some type of expired product, yet when I apply it it's still "okay." One of the few body butters I would not repurchase. I'm actually debating tossing this as I type.

If only they hadn't discontinued this! My sister bought it in a sale, then gave it to me when she discovered the milk line. This stuff is AMAZING! Goes on easy, stays on for hours, even during the winter, and the scent is delicious without clashing with whatever perfume you decide to wear that day. Grab 'em while they still got some left!

Why did they discontinue the best scent that they had?? :( This body butter was not too greasy like many of the other ones. I have tried honey and papaya, not the same. So for now I will stretch out the last tub of Soy that I have left before going to nut, which is still not better than Soy.

Yeah! I have found an HG product at last! It is definitely the Soy Body Butter. I bought this on sale and now, knowing what I know, I would have gladly paid more. Unlike the Mango (which used to be my favorite), this goes on like silk and leave a glow to your skin. My friends even noticed when we went to the beach. They said my skin looked "pearlescent" - yeah! Great product!

This body butter has a sickly smell and it simply does not sink in in less than 12 hours which frankly is a bit too long for me. Nut butter which is meant to be for drier skins does get absorbed well which is a bit of a paradox - and it smells better too!

I got this on sale for $3. Perhaps it is being discontinued? It is fine as a moisturizer, but I find the smell to be too strong. I like to apply moisturizer to my hands several times a day, and I honestly wash the Body butter off before eating. I prefer to have an unscented lotion and choose my own perfume.

I got this during a big sale at Christmas. Regularly $16, I think I got it for $9. I liked this body butter. Used it primarily on my feet at night with socks over it. Feet are definitely softer. This body butter is nice as it was a lighter texture, used it sometimes as my body lotion for the day. Absorbed quickly and no real noticeable scent that would interfere with my perfume. Was happy with this product. Read on here that it has been discontinued - am glad I bought 2 tubs!

They've discontinued this particular body butter. *Sigh* It's pretty unfortunate, because this is one of the better body butters out there, especially for someone who has normal to dry skin. It moisturizes quite well without being overly greasy, and I love the fact it smells like a jar of fresh soy beans whenever I open it up. Very sad to see this go!

I really love this stuff, especially during the winter months. It is very emollient so it might not be for everyone. I will definitely repurchase this.

This is without doubt the best body lotion I’ve found so far!!! This is the one and only lotion moisturizing enough for my skin, from the time I applied it until my next bath. I loveeeeeed the smell of this soya body butter, even my husband who is very picky and annoying when it comes to scents loved it. In fact, he’s the one who choose it for me. I’m on my second jar now. 200 ml jar lasts me about a month for twice a day applications.

The more I use this product, the less I like it. I think it has too much shea butterin it, and I think I am allergic to shea butter. Anyway, it is a nice thick, balm consistancy in a large, flat plastic tub. It is for normal to dry skin, and I have normal skin, but it seems to dry out my skin. I put it on before bed, and my hands feel smooth upon initial application, but then after a few minutes, my skin starts to tighten up, and when I wake up, my skin is all dry.
